Adaptive Capacity

Are your leaders ready and able to adapt?

The conditions your organization faces are changing more quickly; the variables at play are growing exponentially. In this light, continuous adaptation is the only way to make progress in the face of difficult problems. That means your leaders need to be open to not knowing, and they must be able to quickly connect and empower others in an evolving network of influence.
Trained by Ronald Heifetz and his faculty team at Harvard’s Kennedy School in the “Art and Practice of Leadership Development, I developed multiple programs for both in-tact teams and high potential cohorts. For a team of 30 leaders, we developed a six-month program of adaptive capacity building. For another, I worked with a group of “high potentials” across an organization to develop their own adaptive capacity over the course of a year. In each case, what emerged was a transformed ability to empower and mobilize others to solve difficult problems in the fact of change, and a new ability to collectively steer the organization through shifting waters.

We should talk if you…

Are eager to scale your leadership teams capabilities to achieve to greater collaboration, creativity and execution
Are undergoing massive change, and believe your leaders are resistant to it
Have high potential employees who are ready for their next phase of growth

Our current context demands leaders who have the empathy, compassion, and understanding to inspire the best in themselves and others amidst disruptive change.
