teams in crisis

Is your team in a tailspin?

Maybe you’re seeing massive employee attrition, or you’ve lost a number of key people. You’ve been blindsided by disruption, or unsustainable cash burn is threatening to drag you into insolvency. The stress on your team – frayed nerves, long hours, sleepless nights, petty fights – can feel almost too much to bear. There’s certainly no time for “strategy”. And the cracks are showing.
I worked with a team recover from the verge of bankruptcy and sell their business for 9 figures. I worked with another who had lost three team members because he enabled toxic personalities to stay. And I was called in to help with burnout where the team was taking on too much from the board. The result of our work together was that these teams pulled themselves – and their businesses – out of a tailspin, by regaining their composure, adapting to the challenges they faced, and overcoming paralysis to act.

We should talk if you have a team that…

Seems on the verge of falling apart

Is rife with silos and conflict

Is failing to act in the face of chaos and complexity

Is facing an existential threat

The hardest thing to manage in a crisis is not your company. It’s your mental emotional state.

My Approach

When it comes to working through crisis, I can only say: I’ve been there. As a serial entrepreneur in the first half of my career, I started twelve businesses – each of which was bombarded with problems, amid spates of great success. Eventually, I lost an $800 million asset management company I started due to poor judgement. I’m intimate with emotional, spiritual, organizational and financial crises – and I’m passionate about ensuring others don’t make the same mistakes.

Working together, we’ll:

Regulate the team nervous system to a place of calm

Map complexity and scenario plan

Defuse obstacles

Jumpstart actions that put the team – and your organization – back on the path to health
